Alvin R. "Dick" Matthes

MATTHES Alvin Richard Jr (aka Dick) 82, of Maineville passed away on March 14, 2021. Alvin was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Alvin Sr. and Irma on November 5, 1938. As an honorable Veteran, he served in the Army National Guard from 1961-1966. He was a successful business owner of the Beacon Inn, Bismarck Restaurant and Catering by Richard's which he shared with his wife of 50 years. He loved to fish and golf. He enjoyed being out on the lake, or marshalling at the golf center. Alvin is predeceased by his wife Helga, mother Irma, father Alvin Sr. and daughter-in-law Cathy. He is survived by his daughter Sonya, sister Anita, and nieces Sue and Kathi.
