HAMBIDGE

Anthony Rupert, beloved husband of Maureen (nee Hitchman), cherished father of Mark (Sara) Hambidge. Devoted grandfather of Abby, Charlie, and Maddie Hambidge. He is the loving brother of the late Eileen Cripps who passed away last year at the age of 100, and son of the late Rupert and Dorothy Hambidge. Tony was born in Birmingham, England in 1924. At the age of 16 he started working at Cincinnati Milacron in Birmingham. During the war years, in 1942, he enlisted in the Royal Air Force. After the war, he returned to work at Cincinnati Milacron in the UK and would later meet his future wife, Maureen, at Rackhams downtown. Tony and Maureen had their only child Mark while living in Johannesburg, South Africa. Tony would go on to live and work throughout the Middle East and Europe selling machine tools for Milacron before eventually realizing his dream of being relocated to “home Base” in Cincinnati, Ohio. He would eventually retire from Milacron after 53 years of service. Since then he spent his retirement years traveling throughout Europe and enjoying family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30th from 10:00am - Noon at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Hambidge’s memory to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597 (45263-3597).
