We bid farewell to Bruce A. Coots, a loving husband to the late Sherry Coots, a devoted father to Aaron Coots, Dawn Coots, Laura Schott, and Steven (Jamie) Schott, and a passionate hunter who passed away on April 22, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of adventure, camaraderie, and a deep connection with nature.
Born with a hunter’s spirit to the late Amos Coots and Jewel Coots of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bruce found solace and joy in the great outdoors from a young age. Whether it was the crack of dawn or the quiet of dusk, he could often be found roaming the wilderness, rifle in hand, in pursuit of the perfect shot. For him, hunting was not merely a hobby but a way of life – a sacred communion with the natural world that brought him immeasurable fulfillment.
But beyond the thrill of the chase, Bruce was cherished by the bonds of friendship he forged amidst the hunt and his unwavering dedication to his many grandchildren namely, Noah Coots, Isaac Coots, Colin Coots-Hickey, Garret Rankin, Carson Schott, Brody Schott, Ryleigh Schott, Easton Schott, and Jaxson Schott.
Bruce is survived by his sister Julia (David) Howard, niece Amber (Bobby) Brannon and nephew Austin Howard, and preceded in death by his baby sister Elizabeth Coots.
Though Bruce’s earthly journey has come to an end, his love for hunting will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he find eternal peace in the vast expanse of the wilderness he dearly cherished, forever roaming the hunting grounds of paradise.
