Dorothy "Dottie" (nee Kayser), passed away on February 11th, surrounded by her family, at the age of 78. Dottie is predeceased by her parents John and Kathleen Kayser and her son John Keller. Dottie was loved by each of her 7 children Kimberly (Robert) Miller, James Keller, John Keller (deceased), Joseph (Julie) Keller, Patty (Rick Cowan) Leesemann, Robert (Rena) Keller, and Steven (Laura) Keller. She is cherished by her 15 grandchildren, John & Mara Miller; Kimmy Keller, Ali (Jeremy) Morgan & Brandon Keller; Alex, Sam, & Max Keller; Jake & Katie Leesemann, Alexa & Zack Keller, Natalie, Garrett, & Ashley Keller, as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Dottie is lovingly remembered by her sister Nancy Vannelli, her sister-in law Grace Sanders, her brother-in law William Blom and numerous nieces and nephews. Dottie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 26, 1938. She graduated from Regina High School and Edgecliff College now Xavier University and received her master’s degree in education from Indiana Wesleyan. Dottie taught 30+ years at St. Saviour Catholic School and for Cincinnati Public Schools where she loved teaching children how to read. Dottie was a big fan of the Reds, Bengals, and Xavier Musketeer basketball team. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18th from 9AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 10AM at St. Saviour Catholic Church, 4136 Myrtle Ave. (45236). Prayers will be offered at Gate Heaven Cemetery following the Mass, family and friends are welcome. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Lodge Rehabilitation and Nursing Care. “Miss” Dorothy commented all the time about how well you cared for her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 2045 Gilbert Ave. (45202).
