Douglas "Doug" Delay

DeLay

Douglas M., beloved husband of Regina “Jeanie” (nee Rollinger) for 44 years. Cherished father of Beth (Stephanie Klump), devoted grandfather of Lucy, Henry, and Ella Klump-DeLay. Loving son of Donald and Phyllis (nee Spicer) DeLay. Brother of Rich (Gwen) DeLay. Brother-in-law of Mary Dreyer, Carol (Tom) Zitt, Steven (Diane) Rollinger, Evie (Willy) Landrigan, and the late Rody (George) Erb. He is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was employed by his good friend Alan (Judy) Schmidt, Sr. for over 35 years, with Alan Schmidt Construction.

He was the past president of Northern Kentucky Home Builders in 2008 and served on numerous committees throughout his association.

He received the award for Builder of the Year in Northern Kentucky in 2007, presented by the Northern Kentucky Home Builders Association.

Doug was very involved with HONK (Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky) and served as Board President. Doug was introduced to this wonderful organization by his good friend, Jim Stegman.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7th from 10AM until the time of the Memorial Service, 11:30AM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Masks are required for both the visitation and funeral service.
