Elizabeth "Betty" Beck

Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth, age 95, of Cincinnati, arrived in heaven March 22, 2014, of natural causes, in Madeira, Ohio. Born June 26, 1918 to John and Helen Drees. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Jack Beck; her parents, John and Helen Drees, her sister, Jean Kruger, her daughter, Mary Kathleen Best. Dearly missed by her remaining 8 children- Jackie (Jim) Lawrence, Thomas Dudley (Glen) Beck, Claudia (Jim) Buchanan, Linda Greiner, Vickie Burger, Laurie (Tom) Carney, Mary Beck and Jenny (Terry) Yuan. Loving Grandma Doll to Nick, Sarah, Chris, Valerie, Sherrie, Eli, Spencer, Gwen, Amanda, David, Julie, Matt, Elizabeth, Andy, Karen, Joshua, Carrie, Adam, John, Alexandra, Cameron and Austin. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her smile, known for her Catholic faith, and inspired by her gentle strength throughout her life and through her volunteer help at numerous organizations- St. Ursula, St. Gertrude's and the Hamilton County Board of Mental Retardation. In memory and celebration, please join us on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Gertrude Church, 7630 Shawnee Run Rd. (45243) Madeira, with a visitation with the family from 12:30 until time of Mass of the Resurrection, 1:30PM. A reception will follow.
