George G. Trebbi, Jr. passed away peacefully at home July 17, 2024. Dear husband of 57 years to Linda (Mussig) and devoted father to Bronson, Allyson and Andrew. He is survived by two sisters, Gloria (Preshaw) and Gail Trebbi, and four grandchildren, Gianna, Addison, Aubrey and Gavin.
He was born in Cincinnati on August 21,1942 to Grace and George Trebbi, residing in Norwood and later Pleasant Ridge. He graduated from Purcell High School in 1960 and entered the ROTC while earning his degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati. Post graduation he joined the artillery unit of the U.S. Army based in Fort Sill, OK, earning the rank of Captain.
George received his PhD in marketing from U.C. in 1971 and taught graduate students at the Business School of Xavier University for 34 years. He co-founded Research Data Inc. (now RDI
Corp) in 1978 to provide data analytics to corporate clients. He was a mentor to
countless students and cherished opportunities to serve others in their business
endeavors.
He was a member of Kenwood Country Club where he made lifelong friends and served as President from 2001-2002. George had an insatiable quest for knowledge in business, history, and classic cars, and thrived on sharing it with family, friends, and colleagues. In his later years he found pleasure cheering for his beloved Muskies and taking his grandchildren for a joyride in one of his old Chevys.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31st from 4-7PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 1st at 10:30AM at Armstrong Chapel UMC, 5125 Drake Rd. (45243) Indian Hill.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
