Guenther P. Mueller

Guenther P. Mueller, beloved husband of the late Jean Mueller (nee Callihan), dear father of Stephen P. (Susan) Mueller, grandfather of Ava (Ken) Millstone, Jacob (Adela Orovay) Mueller, and Cara Mueller, great-grandfather of Marshall and Ned Millstone and Marc and Ona Mueller-Orovay.  Passed away December 21, 2017, age 93.  Family graveside service Saturday December 23 10AM at Rest Haven Memorial, followed by visitation at Steve and Sue's at noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Sierra Club.

Guenther P. Mueller, born June 13, 1924 immigrated to the United States at age 5 from Berlin, Germany, via Cuba.  After graduating from Withrow H.S in 1942, he served in the US Navy during WWII on the aircraft carriers “Bennington” and “Boxer.”  He flew 62 combat missions as a torpedo man/ stick gunner.

He established Camargo Insurance Agency in 1953, now in its 3rd generation of family ownership.  Gunny enjoyed spending summers fishing and playing with family in Omena and Vans Harbor, Michigan.
