James Ballentine

James Martin Ballentine, age 96 Born 2-26-30 to George and Ruth Ballentine in Charleston West Virginia.

Jim graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in Industrial Design. While at UC he met and married Susan Biltz in 1954. Soon after their marriage he was drafted into the army, where he spent 18 months in Korea serving in an Engineering recon unit.

In 1971 Jim and Susan founded Spring Grove Sheet Metal Co.

Jim retired at age 85 leaving the business in the good hands of his two sons.
A gifted craftsman, Jim loved to tinker in his workshop. Over the years he built a car, a sailboat and numerous things for his home, church and other people.
Sue and Jim loved traveling this beloved country finding great joy in river boat and small ship cruising.

Jim is survived by his wife of 7l years, Susan and his children David,(Sheila), Tom (Cindy) and Emily (Scott Kunkel), 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. 

Celebration of life will be held at St. Paul UMC at the corner of Miami and Galbraith Rd on Sat. May 1st. Family will receive friends at 10:00am with service to begin at 11:00am.
