James "Jim" Smith Todd

James Smith Todd (Jim), beloved husband of Virginia C. Todd (Ginger) passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 2, 1934, Jim was the son of James Smith Todd & Elsie K. Ault. Survived by his wife Ginger, 3 children and their spouses: Jeff Todd (Sharon), Sharon Colvill (Scott) and Barb Brown (Tom) and 4 grandchildren (Abby Seiple (Tom), Curt Brown, Max & Mackenzie Colvill) and his sister Mary Porter-Hutter.

Jim was a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati (1956) where he met his beloved wife, Virginia. He rose from salesman to President of Cincinnati Steel Products as the second generation to be involved in the business until he passed the leadership on to his son-in-law, Tom Brown. Jim was dedicated to the company for over 57 years.

Jim & Ginger loved spending time in their home away from home in Sarasota and he was happiest when on the water & in the sunshine, whether he was on his houseboat on the Ohio River, Steelaway, or his sailboat in the Sarasota Bay. Jim enjoyed a long happy life and he & Ginger were truly blessed with a wonderful marriage for almost 65 years.

Memorial service to be held at Twin Lakes Senior Living Community Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:30-11:00. Friends & Family Gathering to follow from 11:00-11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind- www.guidingeyes.org.
