Jeanne M. Shaffer (née Buckley), age 95. October 26, 1924-September 16, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Royal Oak, MI, and Cincinnati, OH.

Beloved wife of Vincent G. Doyle (d. 1977) and Wesley A. Shaffer (d. 2015).

Loving mother of Jeanne-Marie Doyle Carmosino (John) and dear stepmother of Mary Alice Shaffer Grimes (Gary) and Wesley F. Shaffer (deceased).

Devoted grandmother of Christine A. Meske (Alex), Ann M. Stupca (Michael), and step-grandmother of Chris (Amanda), Jeremy (Kim) Grimes, and the late Matthew Grimes. Loving great-grandmother of Marie and Ashley Stupca, and Ben Meske, as well as step-great grandmother of Mason, Shae, Braydon, and Riley.

Dearest daughter of Ethel (Keily) and John T. Buckley. Dear half-sister of Roberta Seward and Helen McGrevy (both deceased), and aunt of Tony, John, Robert (Rocky), Virginia Woods, Kathy (deceased), and James (deceased) Seward.

Great friend and kind neighbor of many, cat and dog lover; enjoyed music, art, movies, theater, and was an avid reader.

Volunteered at Taft Museum of Art, Cincinnati Symphony Club, and on the Women's Committee at the Cincinnati Art Museum for many years. Was a Girl Scout Leader many decades ago. Proud to be Irish.

Our special thanks to the compassionate assisted living staff at Seasons Courtyard in Cincinnati, the amazing Grace Hospice (Cincinnati) team, and Jim and Deb Anderson who helped her live independently for many years.
