Joan R. (nee Meyers), beloved wife of 54 years to the late James D. Glass.

Mother of Michelle (Robert) Schneider, Deborah (Bob) Ridgley, and James G. (Jacqueline Luttmer) Glass.

Grandmother of Daniel James (Erin Elizabeth Huenke) Martin, Justus Raymond Martin and Rebecca Schneider, Angela Christine (Ryan Tarvin) Ridgley, Melissa Kathryn (Patrick Nalepka) Ridgley, Katherine Claire (Lance Pfau) Glass, Michael James Glass, Jacob Douglas Glass, and William Cole Glass.

Great-grandmother of Michael Josef, James Robert, Theodore William, Levanna Rae, Jasper Lee.

Sister of the late Mary Ellen Dixon.

Joan passed away peacefully in her home on January 17th at the age of 91, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to her parents Raymond and Helen Meyers, and grew up during the Great Depression and was grateful for the assistance she and her family were provided by charitable groups. This led her to appreciate her life and all the things she was afforded later. She was a proud American who lived her life as a devout Catholic. Her most important things were faith and family. Joan was a life-long member of St. Gertrude Church in Madeira and supported St. Gertrude School as a faithful donor.

She was an excellent homemaker who celebrated her family’s milestones with joy. Joan was very fun, enjoying everything in her life. Her family was everything to her and she always made Christmas very special.

Joan was a legacy member for 40 years of the Kenwood Hills Garden Club. Joan also enjoyed being a member of the French 75 Dance Club. She taught floral arranging to the elderly residents in her family’s health care business.

The family will have a visitation on Friday, January 20th from Noon until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 1PM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Avenue (45243). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

If desired, donations may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

The Glass family would like to thank Hillebrand Home Health and Queen City Hospice for all the loving care she was given over the past five years.
