John T. Collopy

COLLOPY

John T.Jr., 93, of Madeira, passed away November 26. He was the beloved husband of Frances Louise (nee Hetterman), and the late Catherine Louise (nee Elliott), brother of the late Tom Collopy, and loving father of Mike, Steve, Dan, Paul, Rosemary Cao, Jim, David, Gary, and Cathy, grandfather of 18. John was born in Maysville, KY. He served as captain in the US Army, during WWII. He graduated from Xavier University, class of 1947, and achieved a successful career as accountant and business executive, leading multiple companies. He also served as Madeira town councilman. Visitation service is Tuesday, Dec 1, 8AM, at St Gertrude Church, 6543 Miami Ave, Madeira, OH, with Mass following at 9:30. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
