Joseph E. Hansbauer

Joseph Eugene Hansbauer, age 75, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on June 15, 2022, peacefully in the care of Hospice of Cincinnati Hamilton after a year-long battle against esophageal cancer. Joe was the loving husband of Kay Hansbauer (née Shelton) for the past 57 years. He was the son of the late William and Mary (née Watson) Hansbauer, and brother of Jim (Joy) Hansbauer and the late Barbara Tegeder. He is survived by his three children; Bill Hansbauer of Fairfield, Ohio; Tina (Shawn) Ford of Lebanon, Ohio; and Joe (Melanie) Hansbauer of Newport, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren; Jacob, Hannah, Cassie, and Ellie Ford; and Greta, Otto, and Selma Hansbauer.

Joe was a proud U.S Vietnam Air Force Veteran and a devoted Catholic. He spent a career working in the service and sales of medical equipment. He was a dedicated family man, always relishing in time spent with his grandkids swimming or going on adventures. They were his pride and joy! His humor and liveliness will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held (in the parish center) on Thursday, June 23rd from 12 Noon until the time of Memorial Mass, 1PM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Rd., Cincinnati (45243). Friends and family may gather back in the Parish Center after Mass for a light reception. Inurnment will take place on Friday, June 24th at the Mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Bernard.
