Joyce Moore

MOORE, Joyce M. (nee Hilbert), passed away at her home on March 5th, surrounded by her loving family members.

Born to Howard and Anna Hilbert in 1941, the youngest of nine children. She was the most loving, caring, helpful wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and nana.

She worked as an office manager at a trucking company for many years until she retired, then devoted the rest of her time to the things she loved most.

She was very devoted to her family as well as the church and volunteered for many years at the BINGO for the no-kill animal shelter. She taught bible school at her church and babysat for many of the residents of Madeira. She also coached and played volleyball well into her seventies.

She knew no strangers and would talk for hours to everyone she met.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Kenneth Lee Moore; her children Jeffrey T. (Karen) Moore, Constance (John) Rice; her grandchildren, Jeffrey L (Oriel Swensen) Moore, Elizabeth (Rich) Ieraci, Christopher (Shelby) Rice, Jackie (Michael) Strotman, and Jacob (Shannon Breving) Rice; and her five great-grandchildren, Mia, Shyla, Easton, Santino and Lazzaro; nieces and nephews, Jeannie Hunter, Rita Snider, Linda Eberhardt, Cherrie Francisco, Vicky Smith, Steve Ross, Shelly Ross, Chuck Ross, John Ross, Kim Stenger, Christie Robertson, Pattie Hilbert, Sheila Robbins, and Mike Turner. She is also survived by many other family member and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10th from 11:30am until 12:30PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1PM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Rd, (45243). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
