Kathleen Rae "Kathy" Barker

Kathleen "Kathy" Rae (nee Smith), beloved wife of the late Richard "Rick" Barker and the late William "Bill" Shipp. She was the cherished mother of Charles "Marshall"(Lori) Barker, Amanda "Mandy"(David)Alexander, and Melanie Barker-Ball. Kathy was the cherished stepmother of Amber (Glen) Brinson, Katie (the late Shannon Sullivan) Shipp-Sullivan, William "Billy" (Sierra) Shipp Jr., and Tasha (Myron)Carnes. Kathleen was the loving grandmother of Jesse and Christian Barker, Jordan, Kaida, and Luken Alexander, Jazmine Olivia, and Tristan and Karmon Ball. She was also a special "Granny Kathy" to the many grandchildren she gained through marriage, and many other children she knew and loved. Kathy was very close with all of her siblings including the late Melvin Smith, Margie (Smith) Futrell, Ruben Owen, Vivian (Kenny) Cooper, Genny Jeffre, Donnie Owen, and Ronnie Owen. She will also be deeply missed by her devoted friends Tom Masterson and his son Daniel. Kathy loved all in her extended family.

Kathleen was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1953. Her parents were the late Donald and Anna (nee Hickman) Owen.

The family would like to invite all friends and family to visit during calling hours on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 10:00AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:30AM, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood.
