MAHONEY

Kevin Lee, cherished son of Marie V. (nee O’Connor) and the late Ed Mahoney, devoted father of Mollie R. Reeves and Melissa M. (Nick) Brewster, adoring grandfather of John S. Mahoney, Audrey J. Reeves, Danielle M. Reeves, Sara Mahoney, Lucas A. Ponchot, Aidan P. Gavin, McKenna V. Gavin, and Rylee P. Brewster. He is also survived by his sister Karen S. Miller and brother Edward M. Mahoney. He was also the loving uncle of Kathleen (T.J. Rose) Miller-Rose and Elizabeth (Shawn) Napier.

Kevin was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and deeply loved his country. He also loved his family and spent time hunting and fishing with his late uncle. Fr. James O’Connor. He spent weekends boating and camping with his family, and spent much time at Newtown Shooting Range, with his friends Greg and Jeff Johnson. This was a great place for him to talk about and enjoy collecting, cleaning, servicing, and shooting firearms.

The last eighteen months of his life were spent enjoying time with Melissa, Nick, his grandchildren and his 3 dogs, especially his buddy Samson, a senior black lab, who was always at Kevin’s side, day and night.

Kevin passed away in his home on April 24th, at the age of 62. His family would like to invite friends and other family members to visit with them on Wednesday, May 17th from 5PM until the time of the U. S. Navy Honor Service at 7PM, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236).
