Lee E. Ballard

October 8, 1976 — August 26, 2025

Lee Edward Ballard, age 48, passed away in the early afternoon of August 26, 2025. He dedicated his life to his family. Lee married his devoted wife, Melissa (nee Jahnigen) on July 21, 1999. He cherished the moments spent with family and friends. He was known for his love of music, especially heavy metal, fishing, and tattoos. He had a love of cars, sports (especially baseball), guns, motorcycles, and video games. But his favorite thing

was being a father and grandfather.


Lee leaves behind his beloved wife, Melissa, his children, Terri (Tyler) Bray, Taylor and Nathan Ballard, and the late Aiden Ballard. His loving mother, Marian Goldschmidt, his precious grandchildren, Damien and Adalind Bray. Brother of Kenneth (Michelle), Stacy (Steve) Bartlett, and Krissy Ballard, and brother-in-law of Tracy Jahnigen, the late Damien Jahnigen, and son-in-law of the late Linda and Greg Jahnigan, the uncle to Dominique Ballard, Kody Ballard, John Bartlett, Elizabeth Ballard, Lauren Ballard, and Antonio Ballard.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd from 3-8PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Another visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd from 10AM until the time of the funeral service 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.


Lee will be remembered for his dedication, warmth and love for his family and friends. He was a great American.


Because of Lee’s kindness, three people’s lives were saved with the donation of his kidneys and his liver. Countless others’ lives will be changed and enhanced from other donations he gave upon his death.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Network for Hope at NetworkForHope.org, or the

American Heart Association, at Heart.org.
