Lynn Barr

With deep sadness and abiding faith, the family of Lynn Rose Barr, age 79, announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Harry and Ruth (Rosen) Hindersman, whom she now rests with in eternal peace.

Lynn lived a life marked by love, generosity, and grace. She is a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loving sister whose memory will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.

Lynn is survived by her beloved children: Jennifer (Raymond) King, Amy Wolfinbarger, James (Melissa) Barr, and Kathleen (Russell) Chapman. Her children were the pride of her life, and through them, her enduring legacy of kindness and strength will live on. She is the treasured grandmother of 11 grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother of 14.

She is also survived by her siblings Gene (Ross) Terrell, Gail Thomas, Gary (Connie) Hindersman, and Lori Hindersman, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Lynn was the heart of the family, the quiet force that made every gathering feel like home. Whether it was the family fighting over the last slice of the legendary pineapple cream cheese pie or rum cake, or the way she always insisted on splitting her bagel, her small gestures of love are etched into every memory.

Sundays were sacred, not just for faith but for cheering on her beloved Cincinnati Bengals. No matter the score, she was loyal to the end, just like she was in all aspects of her life.

Above all, Lynn was a remarkable mother and an extraordinary grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love was limitless, her patience unmatched, and her faith steadfast. She taught by example—quiet strength, deep compassion, and the kind of love that never wavered.

The grave side service will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249. Meet at office by 10:15 to be directed to grave site.
