Margret Thomas

March 4, 1932 — January 23, 2015

Margret Elise Thomas (nee Jung), 82. She was a lifelong resident of greater Cincinnati, where she attended grade school and Walnut Hills High School before graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University. Subsequently she endowed there the Margret Jung Thomas Scholarship and financially helped with the restoration of the stained glass skylight in Slocum Hall. For Wilmington College she funded the Margret J. Thomas Green House and the Margret J. Thomas Lounge of the Student Union. She was a member of the Cincinnati Women's Club, the Clippinger Garden Club, the Embroiderer's Guild of America and the Armstrong Chapel Handbell Choir. She and her husband have financed The Harold and Margret Thomas Special care Nursery and he Labor and Delivery wing of Bethesda North Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Harold Meyers Thomas; her daughter, Barbara Hubel of Utica MI; her son, Paul Thomas of New York, NY; her sister, Kathryn Schmidt of Washington, DC; and eight grandchildren.
