Marguerite S. Shurte

Marguerite S. (nee Smith) Shurte, beloved wife of the late Richard T. Shurte, cherished mother of Dr. Elizabeth (Dr. Brian) Weaver and Matthew (Amisha) Shurte, devoted grandmother of Dr. Nicholas (Olivia) Weaver, Chelsea (Jordan) Zoutis, and Maya and Ava Shurte, doting great-grandmother to her namesake Calliope Rose Marguerite Zoutis, loving sister of Patricia (Kenneth) Smith Mills and June (Reed) Smith Tyler, and dear daughter of the late William H. and Florence Smith. She was also an admired and respected teacher to hundreds of students at Maple Dale Elementary and EH Greene intermediate schools.

Marguerite passed away with her family around her on Wednesday, December 11th at the age of 85.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, December 19th from 11AM followed by the funeral service, 12Noon, at Kenwood Baptist Church, 8341 Kenwood Rd. (45236) Kenwood.
