Mary Alice Curran

Mary Alice Curran (nee Haggerty) beloved wife of 64½ years to Ronald E. Curran. Cherished mother of Kellie Colyer and her husband Charlie, and Kevin Curran and his wife Tammy. Devoted grandmother to Ashley Connell and her husband Tyler, Nicole Colyer, Bryce Curran, Brooks Curran and an amazing great-grandmother to Talia Brisben, Tate Connell and Eva Connell.

Mary Alice was born on September 8, 1937, in Latonia Kentucky, then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio as a very young child, where she grew up. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School. Mary Alice and Ron met in early 1957 and it was love at first sight and they were engaged shortly after. They were married on May 14, 1960. After finding their forever home in Deer Park, Ohio where they raised their 2 children, they have called that their home for 63 years.

Mary Alice worked for US Shoe, Manpower, McAlpin's department store and then retired from Great American Insurance Company. Throughout their many years together they spent time traveling with their children when they were young and after becoming empty nester's they found a love for traveling all over Europe and Cruises to every beach imaginable.

At an early age Mary Alice began attending Church and was a devoted Catholic throughout her entire life. She was an amazing woman, strong in her faith, gracious, kind and loving. She was also a fighter, and we believe that kept her with us. Ron and Mary Alice have been parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Church for 63 years and both have a strong catholic faith.

Mary Alice passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 87 years old.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 7121 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. Mass will follow at 11:00 am.
