Michael E. "Mike" Murphy

Michael E.Murphy, beloved husband of 30 years to Laura (nee Kob), cherished father of Kate (Aaron) Amador and Kimberly (Vince) Chuma, devoted grandfather of James and Ryan Amador. He is survived by his sisters, Mary (Jeff) Hafer, Peggy (Arnold) Sutton, Patti (Dave) Kowal and Tracy Hiatt, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of Roger (Carol) Kob, Ron (Paula) Kob, Eileen (Frank) Gallenstein, Teresa (Rick) Bolte, Mary (Jeff) Thomas, Linda (Steve) Smith, and the late Gerri Kennedy, Bill Kob and Stephen Kob. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Theresa (nee Beiting) Murphy, and his nephew, David Hiatt. Mike was a 1983 graduate of Reading High School, worked at KDM for nearly 30 years, and was a member of St. Saviour Parish in Rossmoyne. Mike passed away in his sleep on Thursday, October 14th at the age of 56. His family is having a visitation on Friday, October 22nd from 4:00-7:00PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:00AM, at St. Saviour Parish, 4136 Myrtle Ave. (45236). Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Bernard.
