Norbert J., beloved husband of 62 years of Mary Alice (nee Connolly), cherished father of Mary Ellen (Tim) Dillon, Ann (Chris) Gunkel, Maureen (Bob) Schaffer, Michael (Connie) Menke, and Sharon (Bill) Milligan. He was the devoted grandfather of Brendan, Kateri Dillon, Christopher (Amber), and Joseph, Laura Gunkel, Jennifer (AJ) Dziekonski, Emily (Casey) Allen, Justin (Rachael) Schaffer, Sarah Schaffer, and Mary Schaffer, Adam (Rachel) Menke, Amanda (Derek) Oliver, Avery (Caleb) Johns, Jacob Milligan, Liz Lindemood, Katie, Erin, and John Milligan, Donnie (Marissa) Menke, and Ben and Alex Menke. Great-grandfather of Lucas, Jackson, Courtney and Audrey Gunkel, Max, Hannah, Molly, and Nora Allen, Wyatt, Henry, baby Dziekonski, Isabelle Schaffer, Mia Menke, Damien Lindemood. Loving brother of Marie (Ray) Stentz, Sr. Rose Ann Menke, CDP, Ruth (Ray) Miller, Sr. Jean Menke, CDP, and Rita (Robert) Krummen. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Frances (Wurzelbacher) Menke, son, Paul J. Menke, and brother Clement Menke. Norbert was a devoted Catholic and an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He proudly served in the US Army from October 13, 1954 to October 1, 1956, where he was a sharpshooter and an artillery surveyor. He was a life member of the Pipefitters Local 392. Norbert passed away on Monday, November 29th at the age of 88. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3rd from 9:00AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 7754 Montgomery Rd. (45236).
