Paul Holle Kohmescher, born October 17, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jerome (Jerry) and Ruth Kohmescher (nee VonHolle). Raised in the Kenwood area as a member of All Saints Church, Paul graduated from Indian Hill High School in 1976 and Stetson University, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, in 1980. His passion for golf was developed at Belwood Country Club where he grew up as a Junior Golfer. Later in life he was a member of Wetherington Country Club and most recently played golf often at Sharon Woods. Other passions included classic rock, muscle cars, and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. As a younger man Paul worked in sales and marketing but after helping to coach his children's sports teams and volunteering for Pack 489 of Sycamore, he realized his gift for connecting with young children and for the last several years studied at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and University of Cincinnati to earn his provisional teaching license in Ohio. Family and friends will remember Paul for his confident, competitive and playful nature, the nicknames he gave to his close friends, his compassion as a caretaker of his elderly parents, and most of all his love of his children. He passed away on March 10 at University Hospital due to complications following major heart surgery. Paul is survived by his father Jerry, siblings Bonnie (John) Strunk, Greg (Anne) Kohmescher, Judy Berris, Carol Kohmescher, and Diane (Rob) Vorbroker, former wife Barb Kohmescher, and his prized children Mark, Lisa, Amy and Kevin Kohmescher of Symmes Township. In lieu of flowers, donations for a college fund for the children would be greatly appreciated and can be given to the "Memorial Fund for Paul Kohmescher" at any PNC Bank. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 5-8PM at Thomas- Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236).
