PERKINSON
Phyllis Ann (nee Simon), age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 11. Devoted wife of the late John B. Perkinson. Wonderfully loving and selfless mother of John (Amy), Gina Clark (Paul), Michael (Mary Lynne),and the late Teresa King. Most awesome and crazy grandma of Matthew, Michael, Zachary, Katelyn, Samantha, Rachel, Maria and Sydney. Devoted daughter of the late Peter and Mary Simon. Entertaining and giving sister of David, Jim, Paul, Rosemary, Linda, and the late Peter A. Simon. Very much loved aunt and cousin to many. Phyllis' Catholic faith and her family were the center of her life. She lived her entire life giving and doing for others- family, friends, neighbors, and her community. She befriended everyone she met- and everyone she met remembered her. Since her own mother's passing years ago, Phyllis was the matriarch to her siblings. To her own children, she was the glue, the true heart of her family; strong, forgiving, comforting, and peacemaker. Her #1 pride and joy were her eight grandchildren- they describe her as a strong, warm, hilarious, uplifting, optimistic, and the absolute best grandma in the world. Thank you to the staff of Indian Springs of Oakley, DaVita Dialysis, and the doctors and nurses at Bethesda North for the loving and caring for Phyllis.
