Rella Maier

Rella B. (nee Delk) MAIER

04/30/1925-10/16/2018

Rella went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2018 at the age of 93. Born to the late Chester M. Delk and Beatrice Roy Delk of Cain Town (Nancy) KY. She was the eldest of 10 children, the loving sister of Nody (Calvin) Foertsch, Emma (Tommy) Reams, Mary (Donald) Dorsey, Dora Roy and Linda Baker and the late Chester Delk, Jr., Parker Delk, Roy Delk and Marie Weddle. Rella is also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Henry Maier and grandsons, Ryan (Tyke) Maier and Christopher Price. She is survived by eight children, Terrence Maier, Ronald Maier, Gail Dove, Victoria (John) Vogel, Paula Rhoades, Jane Maier, Maria (John) Koster and Rebecca (Mark) Koster, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.  Rella retired from Montgomery Inn at the age of 70. She loved her job and considered her employers, fellow employees and many of her loyal customers as a second family. She will always be remembered by her most generous spirit and great gift of hospitality! After a private family service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Monday, October 22nd at 1PM, her children will host one final “Vic’s Rigatoni” luncheon at her Loveland Family Home.  All those who loved her are welcome!
