Robert B. “Bob” Flinker, husband of 60 years to his devoted wife, Janet M. (nee Stafford), cherished father of Melissa “Missie” M. (Jeffrey) Hericks, and loving grandfather of Nathan (Kayla) Hericks and Ryan (Emily Taylor) Hericks.
Bob was born in Cincinnati on April 21, 1943, to the late Bernard H. and Martha A. (nee Dobbins) Flinker. He lived in Deer Park for more than 28 years, eventually living in the house his parents bought in 1962. He retired from TW Metals after 38 years of service and went on to work part time for the City of Blue Ash.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed camping and NASCAR racing. For 25 years he and a group of his good friends attended the Daytona 500.
Bob passed away on Friday, March 13th at the age of 82. He was grateful for the love and support of his family, especially his wife, during the last several years, as his health declined. He was also very proud watching his two grandsons grow up to become happy and successful men.
Friends are welcomed to join his family on Saturday, March 21st from 10AM until the time of the funeral service, 12Noon, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to either the or to the. American Heart Association or SAAP (Stray Animal Adoption Program).
