Ronald L. Lang, age 92, passed away on Thursday, July 30th.

Ronald was the beloved husband of Sylvia Ann Hoernschemeyer Lang, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. He was the loving father of Donna Joy (Bob) Beck of Milford and Jennifer (Sean) Givler of Loveland, and the proud and devoted grandfather of Abigail J. “Abby” Givler.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Raymonda Rees Lang; stepmother, Irene Demoss Lang; father, Leroy Lang; sister, Joni M. Duritsch; half-sister, June Ann Lang Dangler Heath; and stepsister, Erma I. Miller Kloth.

Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army. In 1956, he served as a Sergeant with the 11th Airborne Division Signal Corps in Augsburg, Germany. His time as an Army paratrooper was a source of great pride throughout his life.

After returning home from military service, Ronald began his career with Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company, where he worked as a telephone installer and repairman for 10 years. He later found his true calling in the life insurance profession, beginning a career that would span more than 50 years with Union Central Life Insurance Company, now Ameritas Life Insurance Company.

Ronald was dedicated to his profession and to serving others. During his distinguished career, he served as President of the Cincinnati Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Above all, Ronald’s greatest joy was his family. He treasured the life he and Sylvia built together during their 68 years of marriage and was deeply proud of his daughters and granddaughter. His long life was marked by devotion to his family, service to his country, dedication to his profession, and the many relationships he formed along the way. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Ronald’s family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Road, Kenwood, Ohio 45236.

Immediately following the service, a brief veteran’s memorial ceremony will be held outside in honor of Ronald’s service to his country.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
