Ruth Ann Rhodenbaugh

RHODENBAUGH

Ruth Ann, (nee McVicker) was born on May 14, 1929 to the late Cleo and Irma (Bell) McVicker.  Beloved wife of 65 years to William C. Rhodenbaugh.  Dearest mother to her five boys, Tim (LuraBeth), Joe (Wease), Tom (Mia), Bob (Pam) and David (Kim).  Honored and beloved grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ruth graduated from Withrow High School in 1947, and the Western College for Women in 1951 (now part of Miami University). She was president of her class at Western her junior and senior years.  Ruth was an active and involved mother to her five boys, involved in PTO at Indian Hill Schools, including room mother, chairman of the yearly bazaar, and President of the Wrestling Club’s Mother's group.  A devoted volunteer at the Armstrong Chapel UMC, including teaching Sunday school for many years.  President of the Al-Bar Women's Club, member of the Indian Hill Dirt Dauber's Club. Long standing and hard-working volunteer with the John's Island Service League (Vero Beach) Tambourine Shop.  Ruth ran the press box for the PGA Kroger golf classic in Cincinnati. Longest standing member of Maketewah Country Club.  Ruth was certified as a private pilot in 1968.  Ruth loved flowers, her pool and her family.  Ruth passed away on Wednesday, July 5th at the age of 88. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11th from 9:30-11:00AM at Armstrong Chapel UMC, in the Atrium, with a funeral service to follow at 11AM.  Contrbutions in honor of Ruth may be directed to John's Island Community Service League, 660 Beachland Blvd., #208, Vero Beach, FL (34235).
