MEYER

Stanley Edward, Jr., beloved husband of the late Margorie B. Meyer, cherished father of Sandy (Randy) Simons, Chris (Mark) Albonetti, Lisa (Jim) Milyo, and the late Eric Meyer.

He was a devoted grandfather of seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Robert) Steins, Ryan (Kara) Simons, Sara (Michael) Milidonis, Erin (Daryl) Curry, Matthew Albonetti, Kaylee (Josh) Sawyers, and Christopher Milyo, as well as the great-grandfather of Michael Curry, Skyler Hart, Lauren Milidonis, Jazmyn Hart, Sadie Curry, Rylee Curry, Kate Simons, Cole Simons, Gracyn Stiens, Carter Sawyers, and Clarke Sawyers.

Stan lived a long and active life, including serving in the United States Army during WWII. He and his wife were members of the “Rinky Dinks”, a social group of friends that would have rotating dinners and other events, Senior Sports of Volleyball, Softball, and serious Badminton, where his strongest characteristic of competition was apparent. He attended many senior tournaments including the Senior Olympics where he won a treasure trove of medals.

He spent his career in sales and was the Vice President at the BASCO Shower Door Company and was known as “Stan the Man”. After his retirement he and his wife turned their passion for miniatures into a company called Wild Strawberries. Both Stan and Marjorie were active in the Miniature Society of Cincinnati and the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (NAME).

But, most of all, Stan loved his family.

A visitation will take place on Friday, April 28th from 10AM until the time of the funeral service 12Noon, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
