Sue Francis Adler, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2026.
Born in Boone County, West Virginia, to Otto & Mary Baldwin, Sue spent her childhood in a small coal mining community that helped shape the resilience, strength, and work ethic she carried throughout her life. As a young woman, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in search of new opportunities and a brighter future. There, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Adler. Together they built a home in Blue Ash, where they raised their family and created cherished memories.
Family and faith were the foundation of Sue’s life. She was a devoted mother, proud grandmother & great grandmother. Nothing brought her greater joy than gathering her family together—whether celebrating graduations, enjoying family vacations, hosting holidays, or simply spending time with those she loved. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, and her home was always open to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who needed a warm meal, a listening ear, or a place to belong.
Sue’s kindness was matched only by her generosity. She gave freely of her time, her love, and her unwavering support. Her infectious laugh filled every room, and her steady presence brought comfort to those around her. She was the heart of her family—it’s gathering place, its greatest cheerleader, and its constant source of love.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Sue loved tending to her garden, preparing meals for those she loved, and welcoming others around her table. Whether caring for flowers in bloom or sharing a home-cooked meal, she found purpose in creating beauty, comfort, and connection.
Sue will be remembered for her quiet strength, selfless spirit, steadfast faith, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the family she nurtured, the friendships she treasured, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.
Sue is survived by her children Jeff (Lori) Adler, Mike Adler, Pam Adler, Jerry (Betsy) Adler, Ann (Don) Sizer, & Cathy (Mark) Fogelson; her grandchildren Megan Adler, Andrew (Sarah) Adler, Cary Adler, David Adler-Diaz, Colin Adler, Mary Sizer, Daniel Adler-Diaz, Wil Sizer, Alyssa Adler, Lily Fogelson, Nora Fogelson, Eli Fogelson, & Don (Morgan) Alderman; great-grandchildren Carter Johnson, Zoe Johnson, Jackson Adler, Lewis Alderman, & Graham Alderman; brother, Sam Baldwin; in addition to multiple nephews & nieces. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Adler, as well as siblings Freddy Baldwin, Freida Baldwin, Everett “Bolo” Baldwin, JoAnn Nelson, Harold Baldwin, & Sadie DePolo.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at her home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at her family cemetery in Foster, West Virginia.
