ANTHONY
Susan Ellen (nee Griswold), beloved wife of Dr. Lawrence M. Anthony, cherished mother of Kristin (Pino) Guadagno, Paul Anthony and Maria (Doug) Rumpke, devoted Nana of Alex, Zach, Gabriella, Liliana, Giorgia, and Livia. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Brinkmoeller, Elizabeth (James "Tiny") Steffen, and Holly Ottesen and loved immensely by so many nieces, nephews and friends, passed away in her home on Thursday, September 4th at the age of 68. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 2-5PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 8th at 12:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 6104 Desmond St. (45227). The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Susan's name to SOTENI International (www.SOTENI.org), 2366 Kemper Ln. (45206). Susan enjoyed a professional career as the Marketing Director of the Sisters of Charity Health Care System and the Education and Training Coordinator for The Catholic Health Initiative. She was also a public relations coordinator for the Shriners Burns Hospital and was associated with many organization whose goals reflected Susan's beliefs and values. Susan was a volunteer for Hospice of Cincinnati; a volunteer and Board Member of Soteni international, an organization that helps deliver health, employment and social services to AIDS victims and their families in Kenya; and was very instrumental in helping pass an Ohio Law that allows all adopted adults within the state of Ohio to have unrestricted access to their original birth certificates. She was also co-founder of the Ohio Birthparent Group in Cincinnati, Open to birthmothers and birthfathers in Ohio. Birthparent Group-Cincinnati is a private space for birthparents to meet others who understand this life-long journey. Susan was also involved with many other volunteer groups to help individuals meet financial and education needs. She will be missed by many and was loved by all.
