Susan Spurr Reid

Susan Spurr Reid passed away on Monday, October 22 at the age of 77. She was born in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Barney C. and Audrey Spurr Reid. She was the cherished sister of Alice (David) Flumbaum, loving aunt of David R. (Rachelle Cummins) Flumbaum, and the late Rebecca (Howard) Lowery, great-aunt of Reid Jaymes and Sidney Jacob Flumbaum.  She is also survived by numerous cousins.  Upon graduation from Fern Creek High School in Louisville, KY, Susan went to Western Kentucky University, then on to receive two master’s degrees, one from the University of Kentucky and the other from University of Cincinnati. She was a Librarian at Cincinnati Public Library in Downtown Cincinnati for several years, later moving to the Sharonville Library, where she was the branch manager, until she retired. She was a member of the Sharonville Women’s Club and an inner-city volunteer.  A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 1PM until the time of memorial service, 2PM at Kenwood Baptist Church, where Susan was a member for nearly 40 years, 8341 Kenwood Rd. (45236). If desired, donations may be directed to Kenwood Baptist Church in Susan’s name.
