Wilfred E. Meinzen, beloved husband of 66 years to Betty Jane Meinzen (nee Calder), loving father of Janet Kovacs (John), Donald Meinzen (Jeanne) and Joyce Massaro (Mark), loving grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 4, brother of the late Muriel Hartzler. Owner of Silverton Hardware since 1946 which was founded by his family in 1915. Wil loved the store with all his heart and never wanted to miss a day of being with his friends. President of The Cincinnati Club in 1982, served on Board of Silverton-Deer Park Fire Department for 10 years, assistant scout master of troop #658 for many years. August 31, 2012. Age 87. Visitation will be Tuesday September 4th from 5-8pm at the Thomas-Justin Memorial 7500 Montgomery Rd. in Kenwood. Funeral service will be Wednesday September 5th 1pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 7701 Kenwood Rd. The family asks that memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital, Vitas Hospice, Deer Park-Silverton Fire Dept, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
