William Francis “Bill”, 78, died peacefully at home September 23, 2015. Devoted husband of Joyce (Kindt) of 53 years, beloved son of the late Edward and Rose (Mazzaferri). Bill was the loving father of David (Marla), Julie Driscoll (Ed), Steve (Lisa), Chris and Maria. Proud grandfather of six granddaughters: Lauren Collins (Jon), Ashley, Molly and Grace Driscoll, Hope and Paige Ledwin as well as great grandson Hunter Collins. Dear brother of Mary Rudd (Bernie). Devoted uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bill was a graduate of Roger Bacon High School and Xavier University (’59) where he also earned his MBA. He worked at Western Southern Life Insurance for 44 years, retiring in 2004 as Chief Investment Officer and President of Fort Washington Investment Advisors. After retiring he continued to serve on the finance committee. He served on numerous boards and committees. He was a long-time supporter of Xavier athletics and was a men’s basketball season ticket holder. Bill thoroughly enjoyed his globe-trotting adventures with his wife Joyce, as they traveled to every continent. He took up photography upon retirement to document their adventures. He loved his family, making most every grandchild’s athletic games, dance recitals, and school activities. We will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th from 4-8PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 9AM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Ave. (45243) Madeira. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
